S.T.E.P.S. (SOBRIETY, TEMPERANCE, ETHICS, PROGRESS, SERVICE) Purpose: The purpose of this organization is to provide a safe, Christian home and environment for people who have nowhere else to go. In the homes they receive counsel, are encouraged to attend school or find a job, and attend church. Food and shelter are provided. The home is a sober living environment where people are able to cease drug use and learn to stay clean. They are given the opportunity to make the changes in their lives necessary for them to re-enter society as productive individuals. Persons helped include pregnant women, individuals who have been referred by the drug court under the direction of a judge to live in a halfway house, and anyone who needs help. Many of the people who come have no-where else to go, and are in need of the chance to re-establish their lives. SACRED HEART’S HAVEN Purpose: Sacred Heart’s Haven has been created to insure resources are available to provide transitional housing within a caring and loving environment to court appointed children and displaced families. Sacred Heart’s haven initiative will be to provide a stable environment, emotional support, and educational programs on addressing adversity. Scholarship funds will also be initiated for children who most improve as a means to motivate children to reach for education as a source to create a productive life.
In addition to transitional housing, Sacred Heart’s Haven will provide resources and educational to displaced families on taking stalk in homeownership through various first time buyers.
